Mark Shurr is the Vice President and Principal Consultant of Ada Business Technology,
Inc. He is a systems architect and manager who utilizes his vast experience and knowledge of Information Technology
to improve business processes as well resolve IT related issues from the identification of requirements through their implementation.
His expertise and experience include:
Application Design and Development
He has over 20 years of experience in the development of business and manufacturing
systems in the AS400/System I and Microsoft environment. He is proficient in RPG/RPGLE as well as VB and ASP.NET.
He has designed and implemented several Database Systems including:
IBM DB/2, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 /2008 and MySQL.
Business Analysis
His business systems experience includes: ERP, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Customer Relationship Management,
and System Transitions.
Mark re-engineered business processes to optimize functionality and minimize human
error. He has created Data Warehouses
and modeled business metrics using Microsoft’s Server 2000 and Server 2005 Analysis
Services.
Mark has created dash boards
with KPI’s as well as designed and developed Executive Information Systems for businesses.

Mark has developed several
web sites. He is proficient in Cold Fusion, PHP and ASP.NET. His current web site is written in ASP.NET and utilizes an SQL 2005 Database.
He has written Web Services using VB.NET
and has created tools to drive customers to client’s sites.

Mark was the CIO & Vice President of Information
Technology at a major division
of an International Fortune 500 enterprise. He was responsible for:
- Implementing SOX Compliance
- Developing Policies & Procedures
- Implemented Best Practices
- Upgraded Security Compliance
- Developing and Testing Disaster Recovery Plans
- Obtaining ISO 9001 Certification for Manufacturers
He is a team leader who is a mentor to his staff.
He is a project manager who has successfully managed both small and large
projects.
